Quick Start
This guide gets an operator from a cold start to a guest’s first shared photo. It covers what to have ready, then walks through a live session screen by screen.
Who this is for
Section titled “Who this is for”The operator — the person running the booth at an event. You don’t need to know the software internals; you need to start an event, keep a session running, and help guests through it.
What you need before you start
Section titled “What you need before you start”- MixUp installed in a normal, writable folder. Do not run it from the Windows
Store sandbox (
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\…) — the app can’t save projects there. See Troubleshooting the first run. - A camera connected and powered on (e.g. a supported Canon over USB, or a wireless camera). The booth runs a live camera check before each shot.
- An active license. MixUp is license-protected; without it the app won’t run a paid session.
- An event and at least one project/template configured. A session can’t start until a current event and project exist.
- (Optional) A printer, if you want on-site prints.

- Capture mode — Photo / Video (only if more than one is enabled).
