Email is used less often these days, but MixUp supports it over your own SMTP account.
You need a mail account (with an app password)
Section titled “You need a mail account (with an app password)”You need an email account to send from. Most mail providers now require an app password for third-party apps like MixUp — use that, not your normal login password. For Gmail, for example, you create a dedicated app password and copy it in.
How to get an app password for common providers:
| Provider | App-password guide |
|---|---|
| Gmail | https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 |
| Outlook / Microsoft | Search “app password” in Microsoft account security |
SMTP settings
Section titled “SMTP settings”Enter the account’s SMTP details:
- Server address and Port (SMTP).
- User Name and Password (the app password).
- Connection Security — usually SSL/TLS (already selected by default).
- Authentication Method — usually a normal password.
Change these if your mail provider requires different options.
Send delay
Section titled “Send delay”A useful option is a delay between sends. If a big queue builds up, set a delay (about 5–30 seconds) so your mailbox’s rate limits or spam filter don’t get you blocked.
Template
Section titled “Template”On the template tab set:
- Sender name and your email. Important: use the same email as the account you’re sending from — some providers reject mismatched senders.
- Subject.
- How to attach the content: as a file (attached to the email) or as a link (from the uploader).
- Custom body text, or attach HTML markup.
Queue and Base
Section titled “Queue and Base”- Queue — emails not yet sent and their status.
- Base — every email sent through this module.
