Licensing
MixUp is protected software (StarForce). To run without limits you need a license key; to evaluate, you can use Trial or Demo mode.
Enter your license key
Section titled “Enter your license key”After installation, if the machine has no license, MixUp prompts you to enter a license code. Enter your key to unlock the full app.
Trial mode (14 days, full)
Section titled “Trial mode (14 days, full)”If you don’t have a key yet, you can run in Trial mode. Trial is available for 14 days and is not limited in any way — you get the full app to evaluate it properly before buying.
Demo mode
Section titled “Demo mode”Demo mode lets you use essentially everything, with two limitations:
- Watermarks — all content is stamped with a “Demo” watermark.
- 5-minute session limit — the booth running modes (photo booth, mirror booth, or the remote admin mode) are limited to 5 minutes. After 5 minutes the mode closes, you return to the menu, and the app shows that the 5 minutes are up. You can re-enter, but each run is capped at 5 minutes.
Use Trial when you want an unlimited evaluation; use Demo for a quick look or when the trial has ended.
Keeping MixUp updated
Section titled “Keeping MixUp updated”MixUp can notify you when a new version is available (“Update Available”) and update via its Updater. Keep the software current so the documentation, features, and camera support match.
Licensing problems
Section titled “Licensing problems”- If the app reports the license as invalid, re-enter your license key.
- After a hardware change, the license may need re-activation.
- Moving MixUp to another computer? Deactivate the license on the old machine first — see Deactivate & transfer a license.
