Install & first launch

1. Run the Setup installer

Run the MixUp Setup file — it installs the app to the correct location for you. No manual folder choice is needed.

2. First launch

Start MixUp. While it loads you’ll see Loading booth. On the first run the app sets up its data folders, loads projects and events, and prepares the camera and services.

3. License prompt

After installation, if there’s no license on the machine, MixUp asks you to enter a license code. If you don’t have a key yet, you can start in Trial or Demo mode instead — see Licensing.

4. Import old data (if you had a previous version)

If MixUp detects data from an earlier install, it offers to bring it over: “Old MixUp data was found. Import projects, events and Ai templates in background?”

• Choose Import old data to migrate projects, events, and AI templates.
• The import runs in the background (“Importing data”) while you keep working.

Tip

Importing is safe to accept if you’re upgrading an existing booth — it carries your templates and events forward so you don’t rebuild them.

5. Confirm it’s ready

After setup, confirm:

• the camera shows Connected (see Cameras),
• a current event and project are loaded,
• the license, trial, or demo is active (see Licensing).

Then you’re ready to run your first session.
